... crashed! I woke up today, Friday, at 7 because my host dad was taking me to the Milan EXPO. Now since no one knows what the heck that is... I will explain. Every country has their own pavilion where they create a building to go with the topic. The topic this year was Feeding the Planet. Energy for Life. It was an honor to go here because it only happens every 5 years and is a big deal to be only an hour away from me. I have some pictures ...

In a nutshell- Cousin Corrado took us all over Lake Como, including to the castle where they filmed Casino Royale, and George Clooney's place! He took us up the mountain side. We always thought that we were at the top, but then we went higher! We went for a walk around the area. We went down to S. Segmente for an expresso and then up into the hills. We also went to Lugano Lido where Corrado works in Switzerland for a fun day of swimming. The ...

... and gardens perched on the edge of Lake Como. The villa wasn't supposed to be open today but we struck it lucky for some reason. Very opulent, more marble than I'm ever likely to see in one spot again. Perhaps this is where George lives? We spent a couple of hours or so here and then intended to drive to the top of the hill behind the village to visit the local castle. This is where the problem started. The map Rog had CLEARLY showed a road going to the top. ...

... with Leda. We drove to Lezzeno and to our lake side villa. We meet Maria, the owner of the villa who showed us where everything was. She also organised some pasta and sauce for us to make for lunch. Her 2 sons came to collect some figs as the tree was bursting. Sophie loved the small bowl that they gave us to enjoy. Typically Italian in style the villa is set right on the lake and we couldn't believe we were sitting in ...
