The ride into town can be via a cycle track along a lake and thence into town or of course, via the road. We opted for the former and clouds of midges not withstanding, it was a pleasant ride. The whole area looked at peace with itself, there was a degree of affluence that was apparent, not ostentation, just comfortable. We liked it and ...

... of us were impressed with the starters ( white fish tartare (Julie) caesar smoked salmon salad (me) ) – Julie had baby white trout and I had duck and we both had crème brulee with rosemary & peach sauce. Of course we had wine and so far, the bill was quite reasonable. Then it all went a little awry and it was all down to birthday girl. We had been joined by the Overseas 40 crew and now at last, I can name them! They are Siw(pronounced Siv) Söderberg and ...
