In the morning, after a slow start, we got the bikes out and rode into town, about 2.5km away, in order to get some fresh provisions. The ride into town can be via a cycle track along a lake and thence into town or of course, via the road. We opted for the former and clouds of midges not withstanding, it was a pleasant ride. As we approached Haapsalu we needed the engine again and we got into the harbour, which has the Swedish buoyage system, at 12:45. Again, there were lots of spare places and 2 boats down from us was the Overseas 40 and across the pontoon, Beluga. Quite homely really!

Instead, we had crab pâté and small gherkins on crackers as canapés with a bottle of chilled Latvian 'champagne’ followed by roast pork with vegetables and we were too full for a pudding, apart from a small whisky and some chocolate with our coffees.
