Historical Traveler Reviews H10 Lanzarote Gardens Costa Teguise
Hi i was at Lanzarote Gardens for 2 weeks it was an excellent holiday. The staff are very pleasant and helpfull nothing was a bother for them. The complex was very clean and tidy. The pools and surrounding area where excellent. The entertainment team are very talented individuals and put on fab shows for young and old. The good thing about the shows aswell is seeing the young kids getting a chance to take part. I had a lovely time at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone. I have to say a big hi to Lori who is just fantastic with the kids and a big hug from James
Excellent Hotel - Friendly Professional Staff
Proably the best 3 star I have stayed in for many reasons. You are met by friendly professional receptionists, who will go out of their way to help you. Definitely an excellent hotel for families with children that are younger than teenagers! Childrens's clubs cater for all ages and even provide facilities for 6 months old to 3 years. Although I decided not to leave my 6 month old here, it was excellent for my 2 old and provided outstanding facilities. Evening entertainment is limited but there was always an excllent hour for the children, a wonderful show by the animation team and often another form of live entertainment or music. All children on half board are also supplied with free caps, t-shirts and 7 free soft soft drinks each! Swiiming pools kept in immaculate condition, outside areas kept immaculate, rooms kept immeaculate. Restaurant provided an excellent choice of food and catered for children and adults. Slighter more difficult if vegetarian, but still possible to get a good meal! Supermarket facilities and shopping centre are just over the road, beach 200metres away (an award winning beach - cleaned early every morning). Bus stop outside right outside has several buses to places including Arrecife and Teguise Sunday market. Car Hire provided locally (ane very reasonably). Roads pretty impressive to drive on - many brand new. Maybe not the most liviest resort, but that suited us just fine!
we had an exelent time, our son loved the entertainments.
this hotel offers brilliant facilities for familys who are looking for the children to be entertained while you soak up the sun.
rooms are spacious and staff are very helpfull, beds are a bit hard but well worth it, breakfast has lots of variety and tea is the same just missing gravy "british"
the evening entertainment is the best on the island " so i have been told 3 times by other holiday makers" i agree
will be going again. "Definatley
I have been to this hotel twice and I am about to go again!!
This is definately a family orientated hotel. The Animacion team are brilliant with both adults and kids and they work extremely hard. The food is good and all the staff are very helpful and friendly.
All the rooms are cleaned everyday including the provision of fresh towels.
This is a multinational hotel, so be ready to rub shoulders with alot of Germans , French and Scandinavians.
There are plenty of lively bars and restaruants and something to suit everybodies taste and pocket.
The resort is nice and the beach is never too busy.
Enjoyed the E-team
Price quality (3 star hotel) very good. Rooms although not that modern very spacious. Food okay. Everything clean. Located close to beach and shops. Busstop in front. E-team fabulous with kids (all ages). The kids loved Daisy too!
All staff very friendly and helpful.
Lanzarote itself does not offer a lot (still interesting) but this hotel is certainly worth going for.
Very clean complex
The H10 Lanzarote Gardens has a 3 star rating which I felt was justified. The Reception staff were friendly and efficient when checking us in. There are luggage trolleys available even though they are out of sight. I recommend getting one as it can be a bit of a walk to your apartment.
The whole complex is kept very clean by regular work by the staff. Special mention to the room service women who did a sterling job.The staff are friendly often saying Hola! to you when you pass them by. The Germans are in the majority at the resort which could make you feel a little socially isolated if you are of another nationality. There were also a lot of families with children who might cry at mealtimes, something if you are a couple you probably would not desire if you want some peace - but what can you do!
The aparments are on three levels, ground - 1st and 2nd floors, there are no lifts.
There is no kettle so you would be advised to bring your own if you like tea and do not want to wait 30 mins to boil a pan of water!, there isn't a microwave either. There is a lockable safe in the apartment which you can hire a key for. As usual the pillows are too thin and you only get a sheet. It can get colder at nights especially out of season but the staff will provide you with extra pillows/blankets if you ask them. The satellite tv is Canal which has a lot of Spanish and German channels, a couple of Italian channels and 3 x English channels which were CNN, Sky News and Fox which can be a get a little unentertaining after a while since they are factual channels (apart from the Fox channel). The Sunloungers around pool area are free to use and cannot be reserved with towels! You can rent a matress to go over them for 1€ should you want to. There are several 'house' cats roaming around and they have their own cat 'hut' near the tennis courts. The self-service restaurant has quite a large selection of hot and cold food available and includes a couple of salad bars and a desert bar. There was a special vegetarian menu available if you requested it at reception but we never did this even though we are vegetarians. Breakfast was 6€ and dinner 12€.
The waiter/ess service was a little too over efficient as they hover around watching to take your empty plates off you so they can pack up on time! There are 3 x coin operated internet terminals in reception so you can stay in touch - it seems like a broadband connection (1€ for 10 minutes). A few play areas for children. 2 x pools, one heated a little more.
The inhouse entertainment (Animacion) is not up to much if you are an adult (as suggested by another reviewer). They do their rounds making overfriendly smalltalk to everyone which came across as a bit disingenous and felt as if you were doing them a favour by fulfilling their remit rather than them being genuinely interested in you - ah it is a job afterall ! They are essentially inhouse staff of teenage or early 20s who double as entertainment staff or vice-versa and stage amateur 'shows' like The Blues Brothers, Fame, Cats etc. They are ok for entertaining the children though. For better entertainment you should venture outside the hotel. One Hotel caberet act brought in from outside of special mention is the One Man Show - this guy really works his butt off with a dance and mime singing act. He looks like an ex-ballet dancer - tall and skinny - he was great, well worth seeing! The Animacion team also run entertainment sessions throughout the day - French petang, Aerobics, Spanish Lessons, Quiz etc
Outside I can also recommend the Cactus Jack bar for live entertainment - drag acts, just up the road to the left of the hotel. Most of the people are Brits so you will feel at home there. The hotel is 5 mins from the beach Playa de las Cucharas. The other entertainment are bars that have large video walls showing DVDs of live concerts by Queen, Cher, Elvis etc, other than that it is one man bands. There are the usual black people who come to your table trying to sell watches, sunglasses, carved wooden ornaments etc and chinese women selling flashing LED jewelry, but are soon shussed away. There were some black women on the seaside front who braid hair as a service but who did a runner when the police arrived so they may have been illegal immigrants or without a work permit! Thankfully the timeshare touts are not in as much abundance in Lanzarote as in Tenerife or Gran Canaria but this could be down to the season (November) and I only came across one in Pueto Del Carmen posing as a scratch card seller.
All in all I enjoyed my stay there and came away feeling positive about the experience.
Stayed at H10 Lanzarote Gardens for just three days, but what value for money. Location was pretty good and all services were excellent. Even transfer from airport was quick, paid about 13 euros which isn't expensive for a transfer one way. Lots to do around the Hotel Cactus Jack's was pretty lively and Legends too! Plenty of shops and Puerto del Carmen about 40 mins on the bus. All in all a very good place would recommend
Absolutly Awesome....Love The E-Team....specially Paul what a joker....my rating Go There Soon ! I Am !
Just got back yesterday!!!
Just returned from the Lanzarote Gardens Hotel
The Hotel is really good, we were delayed 8hrs and didn't arrive until 2am. The hotel left us some food in our rooms which was a nice touch.
The plus points were, very clean rooms, daily room service. very chilled out bar pool area. with sun loungers located nearby. evening entertainment (look out for the professional shows, the 'in-house' entertainment is not up to much)
very close to the beach, about 10min walk. Very friendly staff, everybody acknowledges you.
The not so good ponts were, if you like the european style of food then you will be ok. They didn't seem to cater for the UK style. Vegeterians beware, every dish was a meat one.
Ensure you take a travel kettle with you, we tried to boil a pan of water in the room, it took about an hour to boil!!!
Overall very good
Best holiday i have enjoyed in a long time
This complex has everything for you to chill and relax. Plenty to do..in or out of the complex..Anyone with kid's will love it. There are people to look after them constantly and you also, and by night they entertain on stage. All the show's they put on are very entertaining, there are also show's from other star's at night. The kid's are never left out night or day.
The staff are the best I have ever been with.
The pool and room's are very pleasent, and also the bar's. We never ate there, but the dinning room was never empty, and the food looked great.
I greatly enjoyed my time there, and have booked for next year..this time I'll bring the kid's, I know they will love it.
P.S. look out for pedro and miguell the bar men.

... they are brilliant, my son had the time of his life and even got a certificate for best driver of the day.
The weather was lovely and the people friendly. We both had a great time.
(sorry these reviews are short, I'm running out of steam and just want to get started on the main article)
... sun. Not the wind so much and you get dust from the Sahara blowing in which made it impossible to see Lanzarote across the way at times.
I found a relaxed hostel at the north end of town that had a nice back yard and deck leading down to the shore. I didn't get up to much during my time here apart from the beach, sun and cheap food and drink. Caught some of the World Cup matches and the F1 at a local bar, Alis Tavern, run by an Irish lady and her Italian boyfriend that was good ...
... for the return bus, so find a spot in the sun and a necessary chocolate brownie/birthday cake. The bus driver tells us how the law states that no high-rise buildings can be built in Lanzarote, except for one, a 17-story 5 star hotel on the beach front (built when the mayor was out of town).
This afternoon we made our own sangria concoction, composed of a cheap bottle of rioja, cask of pre-mixed sangria ...
... the beach. After a slow wander home, we made our way to Playa del Carmen for my birthday night out. Its an hour long bus ride, but a great way to see some of the island. We find a small restaurant overlooking the ocean for dinner, and I'm quite proud get ashamed to say, that we scoffed the most amazing meat platter - family size - 2 pork chops, 4 chicken breasts, 3 small steaks, 2 pork belly and 2 large steaks! YUM! All topped off with a jug of their finest sangria. The meat plate ...
... the salt water so it was pretty funny to see a number of them stop under the showers and bask in the warmer water I'm sure. It was like flash dance meets gym buffs. We even got to see Dave as he passed by us then all there was to do was wait. We went to the beach and there were all these lay out chairs with umbrellas over them so we took two because we weren't sure if we had to pay or not. About an hour later a guy was coming around collecting ...
