    ... Suitably oriented, Keith figured out a route towards the campsite. The GPS today proved more of a hinderance than a help today - it kept steering us towards motorways we were trying to avoid. Finally settled at Camping Siesta at approaching 19:00, we signed in for €15 and it was time to crack open a bottle.     ... misty outside, and my hotel was only about 5 minutes from the airport. I merely wanted a cheap place to shower and sleep. I rang the bell, and luckily the Asian owner woke up and got me to my room. I slept ok and got up at 7:30 for breakfast.  It was typical European fare of bread, cheeses, some meats I didn't recognize, yogurt and strong coffee. It worked fine. I asked my new Asian friend what time check-out was, and he motioned with 10 fingers. Really, 10? Who does that? ...

    ... ice-cream and watched the people, boats and cool cars go by on the Moselle River.

    Bernkastel Kues had a harvest wine festival on. The old square had lots of wines to try and a German rock band dressed in pilot outfits playing 80's & 90's rock music and pop. Good fun. Along the water front was all the food stall and a jazzy German ompahpah band.
