      An hour drive from Trier, we finally reached Koblenz. Got to see a piece of Berlin wall, had a typical German meal Schweinshaxe (Pork Knuckle with mashed potato and Sauerkraut) pair with a local beer! Yum! After our meal, we headed to the cruise port for an hour ride to explore the Rhine River.

      We were up early and dropped into the centre of Amsterdam town to explore the city for three hours. A groups of us wondered down to the iconic Amsterdam sign to get a picture. The streets of Amsterdam were filled with canals, bright flowers and lotsssss of bikes. We all almost got wiped out by bike riders flying past us when we were crossing their bike lanes.       In the morning we bought pain au chocolate from the baker and hit the road. France is closed on a Sunday, I checked but it doesn't say that in the map book. We waited at McDonalds until 10:00 to buy coffee, only to discover that it doesn’t open at 10:00. A small cafe adjoined to an in-town supermarket came to the rescue, providing the much needed caffeine and additional food supplies for the next few days.

      ... a man on the road being given CPR. It didn't look good. I also read of Facebook that David Smith had broken a bone in his neck. So no visit in Europe rom the Smith's.
