Our train was scheduled to arrive at 11.52 with the connecting train departing at 12.00, however we were running a little late and didn't pull in until 11.55. Leaving us 5 minutes to scramble through the station, find an information board, dodge the unusually heavy police presence and get to the right platform. Needless to say this ...

... town hall clock strike 11am when the glockenspiel rings and the figures perform famous historical events. We enjoyed some lunch at the Hofbrauhaus brewery and then headed back to Oktoberfest for the afternoon where we spent our time in the beautifully decorated Hacker-Pschorr tent. All the tents are themed, this one was my favourite. Oktoberfest is a massive carnival for people of all ages, almost everyone ...

Munich was an interesting place in the fact that Even though it is in Germany, it was almost like it was a country of its own. The people of Munich say they are bavarian, and they fly their bavarian flag just as high as the German flag, to me it seemed a bit divided, not united as one, which is a bit sad, and reminded me of home and how we have two cultures which can't seem to work together, and as a tourist it was very ...
