A Day in the Life of a Danish Student

A travel blog entry by copperfreckles on Feb 08, 2015

... Auckland. However, I also discovered that my shoes have no grip which has made navigating some parts which are icy really... interesting. There is a certain flight of stone stairs in the university which freezes over in the cold weather, making it almost impossible for me to walk down (or up!) without slipping over or doing the near-splits!

While the intro activities made for really long days (if you had a class in the morning, you would be at uni for about 10-11 hours), ...

So you think Denmark is quite similar to NZ?

A travel blog entry by copperfreckles on Feb 08, 2015

Here in Denmark, everything is the opposite - they drive on the wrong side of the road, they walk on the wrong side of the footpath and they even wear their wedding rings on the opposite hand to us! We stayed at a campsite which was pretty rubbish, a nice setting on a lake but poor facilities. We're becoming quite discerning campsite customers now. The next day we drove through an 11km long tunnel under the icefields and were a little gutted to find a 15 toll once we got through to the other ...

LEGOLAND

... holidays, so there was a certainly a lot of kids around, but the queues for the rides were probably still only 20 minutes long. The first ride we went on was riding in a Lego boat on a round the world tour- with the Statue of Liberty (1.4 million Lego bricks), Capitol, Egyptian style wall, and Acropolis.
There was also a ride, which was like a robotic arm for two people. Before you got on, you got a card and put it into a computer. You ...
