... town hall, and back to the bus.

More highway time, but everything was green and clean. Some rush hour traffic as we approached Munich, our location for the next two nights.to our hotel from the bus in the rain, but it was better when we walked through the market a bit later to find our dinner. We bought a few Christmas decorations and found an amazing German store that sold crazy ...

... Appetising it was not. Weird tasting pork sausages, watery powered eggs, sloppy backed beans and dried out cold toast. It didn't look good before it went in our mouths, I would hate to think what it was going to look like after too much beer when it came back out again....sorry for the visual but really the difference would have been marginal. Despite its unappetising appearance, it was food and it filled the empty holes in our tummies...and it was included in our tour costs ...

... tolerance and understanding of each other, per the request of the camp prisoners at the time of their liberation decades ago.

Perhaps it's a stretch, but I couldn't help but find a parallel between the memorial and Oktoberfest. The emotions evoked by these two "attractions" could not be further apart on the spectrum of sentiment, but strangely, they both serve their purpose in bringing the international community together.
