So sorry I haven't written in a while. Bonne Année everyone!! So for New Year, I went to my host mother's friend's get together thing with about 30 people and maybe 6 teenagers. I met a Kiwi girl who is also my age and doing an exchange in France. We both thought it was great to speak full English for the night. So at 11pm we ate dinner and at 11:59:30 someone jumped up and reminded us what the time was. We almost missed the New ...

... ate a nice warm dinner. On the Tuesday of this week, Justine and I went to the pool and I was able to do some laps, hopefully burning off some of my food that I have eaten a lot of!! No use though because Christmas was just around the corner. I made some Aussie Sausage Rolls and Chocolate Ripple Cake. The parents of Pat arrived and ...

At the front of the school the kids smoke. It's just so normal. They don't even hide it! I've even seen a few teachers doing so, and ...

... a book and a half and spent the days resting. I think I might have to find a gym once I am 100% better as I eat too much bread, Quiche and pastries here with little to no exercise. Hopefully I will be back at school on Monday. And then the end of the week is Christmas holidays for a few weeks. Sorry there isn't much to say. I hope everyone is well. Love Hannah ...

Chateaux of the Loire - Abbey of Fontevraud

... many cyclists that visit the area. Although our chateaux for the day was the Abbey of Fontevraud, only one of the team visited it. We all decided to lunch before exploring the village spare of abbey and ran out of time. Lunch was a traditional cuisine of the area - fouee - similar to a pita bread which was served with a plate of salds and meat to stuff into the fouee pocket and enjoy. Included in the meal deal was ...
