... s daughter also had a ride, and was happy as long as the donkeys went very slowly. The boys had lots of fun and I think this will be one of the highlights of their holiday. Tonight we have a kiddie free night! Nicolas is sleeping at Igor's, and Luca and Brodie are sleeping at John and Daniela's. We just got back from a lovely (peaceful!) dinner at a restaurant in town called Pan e Vin, and It was very ...

Today we went up to San Martino in the morning to Nonna Mela's house for a visit, and to take her out for lunch. After a day in the car yesterday they had plenty to burn off! Today is also Nonna Mela's 86th birthday, so we had a big family lunch at a restaurant near our house. It ...

A travel blog entry by bec-paul on Oct 09, 2014

Today we left Florence, met John and Daniela on the Autostrada (freeway) and started our 4 hour journey to Trentino, up in the north of Italy in the Dolomites. We stopped for a quick lunch half way and arrived in Fiera, Trentino around 4pm. We first went to check out the apartment that John and Daniela have bought and renovated. It is fantastic and looks so different ...

They watch very closely what you eat here !

A travel blog entry by daleville on Sep 06, 2014

... awayfrom the buffet table the elderly owner approached me and informed me " this is not for picnic" ! My reply should have been 'Just watch me eat it now'. We could have taken offence at this but instead we both had a good laugh at this over the next few days as we passed this hotel quite a few times.

We left this hotel after two ...
