I'm currently sitting in the shade of the car on a campsite 20 miles outside Lienz, Austria, having had undoubtedly the greatest driving day of my life. A few thousand feet of lush green mountain, as manicured as any golf course, is staring down at me, incredibly steep-sided and forested on top. Via Ferrata completed and new Hunt Family Sport ...

... facilities though in true Hunt style). Then we spotted an ingenious use of the button lift (on what would be the nursery slopes in the winter) to pull grass-karts up the hill... It had to be done; Mike and Ben opting for the 'let's see how fast we can go' and the 'let's try it without using the brakes at all' style, and Ellie and I shared a kart with Ellie opting for the 'how do I stop' and 'can we go very slow' style! We all had fun ...

... going and going, winding down the mountain. The emergency run off ramps (with lots of tyre marks to show regular use) added to the tension, and with 3 Tons of Truck and Caravan I could smell the brakes were getting very hot. I pulled off into a large parking area half way down to give the car a rest and we had some quick lunch (finished off Ben's Gouda Cheese from Amsterdam). (Found this later on Practical Caravanning; "Max gradient ...
