Soon I turn off down the scenic road to Brixen. I travelled this road last year and really enjoyed it. It follows a river much of the way but is extremely rough and is not well kept at all.

They offer to share their earnings with me. I politely refuse, so they invite me to get something to drink ...

... as we headed out the door. Le Bistrot cemented itself as our favorite dining stop in Torre. Since we were already okay with the concept of returning to a spot for a meal we decided to head back to I Giardini, our stop from the previous night. The place was quiet and we ate our meal alone, the only other diners departing shortly after our arrival. Our last meal in Italy was delightful as always and we rolled leisurely back into Castiglione for our last night in our Italian ...

      And just like that...

... to Italy, figuring it wasn't meant to be. Now as we looked over the work completed we felt the frustration of two miserable days melt away in an instant. It really felt like a home. Last time still felt as though we were camping out and had so far to go; now we could sense that the finish line really was in sight.

We grabbed our bags and pulled them into the house then sat in the kitchen. Our conversation alternated between how excited we were at what was ...
