    ... kept at a balmy 50 degress. THe Japense are very strict on their baths. You must wash yourself before getting in the bath and you must be naked as they think that bathing suits are dirty. Getting in involves scalding your body in the hot water but it is totally worth it. We had a few traditional meals complete with 12 little dishes in our own private room.     ... standing next to me and they were curious about me not wearing shoes. That started up a nice conversation about where i was from and what they were doing here. One of the guys introduced himself and i don't know his japanese name anymore but he said it meant 'small mountain' in english. After a while our buses came and we said goodbye. The bus took me to the station and two trains and 2 hours later i was in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

    Inbetween the busy days in Tokyo i had planned 2 days of hiking in a national park. In my preparation i checked a couple but they were either too far away or the hike would just take too long. Until i found a Oze national park, just 3,5 hours from Tokyo and relatively easy to do in two days. The first day you'll walk mainly through marshlands and the second day takes you around the lake in the park.

    Finally in our room on the second floor and it is simply stunning. Everything about the hotel location, design and fitout was stunning.
    Down for a thermal spa in the men's public bath house. Indoor and out
    Dress for dinner to be served a degustation meal of traditional Japanese food. Eight courses later we are absolutely stuffed but feeling very privileged.
    As the wi-fi service is not good, it is back to our heavenly room for a good sleep on large single beds.
