We woke this morning to more snow, big fluffy flakes pouring down. Breakfast this morning was a plethora of small dishes delicately placed on our table. Vegetables were steamed with the onsen spring water in front of us while we blanched mushroom, spinach and pork in a broth on our table. Miso, pickled vegetables, partly cooked egg, tofu, seared salmon were just some of the other items we had. After breakfast we headed off to the famous onsen here. There is nothing ...

Yesterday we woke to ridiculous amounts of snow and it didn't let up all day. We opened the blinds to see only snow, the snow had reached Over the first floor of the building overnight and our view was covered in snow. We hit the slopes seeking out the ungroomed runs. Talia and I were dipping our toes and fingers in the cold pool and as soon ...

... No Yoda Yasuragi with tatami flooring and futon bedding. Owners do their best to speak English. They are very hospitable.
Point to note- found out on our first evening that you need to book in breakfast or dinner the day before in most restaurants. Ended up finding a bar and grabbing Jesse and Talia a pizza while Kylie and I tried dumplings from the front of a shop. They were ...

... in which I had to stop and go to the bathroom to clean up. Besides that, this afternoon was so much fun. The banana crepe with chocolate sauce, cheesecake, ice cream, and cream was also absolutely amazing. Coming back to the lodge for a hot shower felt amazing and a dinner of Japanese hot pot was served. This meal was perfect for a cold winter night. Tomorrow, we're heading to Tokyo after a morning snowboard, which I am very excited ...
