    Also went to the Red Brick Warehouse area. Built just after 1907 and now home to up market shops ( with up market prices), galleries and food places. Shops pretty good. I am continually amazed at the packaging and presentation of all the stuff that is sold.

    ... biggest. Crab we have ever seen about 4k these crabs are famous for this area but not cheap around $40US minimum each and the huge rockmelons were 35US each. Japan is not cheap. I'm sitting in this quaint little coffee house writing this blog. The weather outside is overcast around 22 C. Terry has taken picture of Hakodate but we haven't download them on to the iPad yet.

    ... crowded. Large coach loads of Chinese tourists were there and so finding somewhere on the observation platforms to take photos without heads in the way was difficult. The views were spectacular especially once it was completely dark and the whole city was illuminated. We finished up in the restaurant drinking hot chocolates.     Arrived in Hakodate and found a Rider's house, best one i stayed at and at the same time the least friendly people. Men and women sleep in different rooms and both were packed. I tried carefully not to roll onto my neighbour during the night and crush her.
