... turn of events, and after our fish stopped moving, we started to cook our food and, well, let's just say the fish didn't die in vain. It was an excellent meal, we both really enjoyed it - particularly when we got stuck into the sake and plum wine!

... time and feel confident that the more time I spend throwing it to the catch, the easier it will become. For now, it feels great to have a bigger role and a bigger trick in the show, and come next city our schedule is going to require it. We are facing a heavy schedule and Harmony and Kyla are going to need to take breaks from their workload of three tricks each. Having my extra trick in the show will allow them that luxury.

... posters of South American modern dancers and poetry on the walls. It was exactly the kind of place we were looking for so we stopped in for a glass of wine and enjoyed the atmosphere. It was the perfect way to spend the last night in Tokyo.

On Sunday morning, Rhonda and Shylo boarded the bus and headed back to the US. I think we've all been getting a whole lot of sleep since then!

I have been lucky to have visitors out here, with Ann having come and Anna and Lynn coming soon, and especially lucky that both Shylo and Rhonda could come for a whole week. It sure went quickly, but that's because we were having such a great time! They arrived on a Sunday night and they adapted to the time change really fast. Even that first night, they were able to stay up and eat dinner before heading to bed.

And so, my second city is drawing to a close. I've enjoyed Ota most for the time I've had to explore the area via bicycle. Once we got through the first 10 days, our schedule became quite easy, with one show and practice on weekdays, and three shows each weekend day. This left me with plenty of time to explore. As I mentioned before, the area to the north of Ota is mountainous. This has made for some very beautiful (and also challenging) rides. ...
