Hálffúl tókum við stefnu á bæinn Banska Bystrica. Lá leiðin um þröngan dal þar sem hver eyðibyggðin tók við af annarri, ótrúlegar "Hornstrendur" Slóvakíu. Brrr, its cold in here
Today was pretty low key, mostly a driving day. We stopped in Slovakia for lunch and saw some beautiful hilly scenery driving into Poland. We got to our hotel in Krakow around 5:30 and the temperature had dropped severely since Budapest. It was only like 15-20 degrees and it was rainy. So happy we have our raincoats! Home away from home

We had to be a part of a tour group (which was spoken in Slovak) in order to view the castle, so we followed a large group of people shuffling from fancy room to fancy room. The castle had a number of owners including the Palfy family and somewhere in there one or two of the Hapsburgs. Passing through the mountain
We're in Slovakia now. Crossing all country from south to north on our way to Krakow. There's thick fog here so not much can be seen. The temperature lowered much. It's about +7-9C here (compare it to +30C in Budapest yesterday). Roads are a bit worse than in Hungary but anyway they're much better than in Ukraine. Plus we're trying to avoid toll roads ...
