Good morning. I was the second to wake up this morning. My first night "on the island" this year had me wildly comfortable. As I was folding up my bed linens once again, I noticed that Denise was still passed out, whilst Dennus was on his second cup of very strong coffee, which he found perfect, as I sat down on the opposite side of the table, and began making my cappuccino. After a yummy scrambled eggs, and two cheese omelettes breakfast, We all ventured our way thru town, to look ...

Woke up early to see the sun rising as we approached Turkey. Went on shore for a Diane and Tony tour which involves walking, taxis and getting lost but you see all the good stuff. Stumbled on a Turkish bath house and experienced the real deal. A massage to remember. Bodrum is beautiful and very hot, hunting for shade all the time. Back on the ship and heading to Santorini tomorrow ...

Just as well none of us are under "the influence", and remain somewhat clear-headed for the much too far ride to the airport -- way on the opposite ...

... and Dennus to arrive tomorrow night.... but this is the last significant big supply stop for food, and water for quite a while. Jacques got moving very early, to rent a car to shop with, after he went to the closer store, and filled up the zodiac with the heavies, like drinks, and water, and cleaning supplies. I marveled at all the "stuff" that filled the dinghy as Neil was methodically unloaded it, and putting each item where it belonged. As I am commenting on all the ...

... dead and found washed up on the beach -- was being carefully picked up by a distraught Turkish policeman, who could not look at the child's face) His sister and mother were also drowned. All were found a little further West then our location. We have seen immigrants and passed them, along with all other people in the islands. The only thing that distinguishes them from us the their very dark skin, and the women's heads draped in scarves. I must admit the most refugees we have seen ...
