... Helen & Chris had to set off regardless. They did however abandon their idea of cycling the bridge but instead turned back south towards Amsterdam. I was very impressed with their tenacity as we farewelled them cycling off in the pouring rain. We look forward to perhaps catching up with them again when we cycle down the East Coast of England. They maybe able to cycle with us for a leg of the route.

All the ceremonies today were hosted by the New Zealand High Commission but, for the first time, everything was done jointly with the Australian High Commission – apparently as a trial for 2015 (the Centenary Year of Anzac Day).
