Islands accessed by ferry and now UNESCO rated and protected.When the tide is out some can be accessed by a mud flat walk (about 6 kms) led by a nature park guide.Seals are seen sunbathing on the sand banks.These small island resorts are quite different to Australian coastal resorts.In places the foreshore sand is leased to companies hiring cane/canvas beach chairs called "Strandkorb"which seat 2 people.There are many little beach cafes selling ...

... any of our cards! We've paid by card in every country we've visited so far but no! Highly embarrassing (with a queue building up behind us) & very inconvenient. Then a nice - no, lovely - student behind us offered to pay (17 euros) on his card & we go with him to a cashpoint to pay him back. We readily agreed & drew out 50 euros, but it was in one note! Went into the bank to try & change it but were told they don't have any money (??) ...

... that Copenhagen was achievable in a day, so we had two days (consecutive) where we drove 600+ Kms. Which is a lot in Scandinavia!

But we got to Denmark and now we can sit back for a few days and relax. We stayed at a summer Campground about 5kms from the heart of Copenhagen. It is a campground for 3 months over summer and the rest of the time, it is just a green area in the suburbs. But it was an easy cycle into town each day. I’m sure ...

She left Australia with her Dutch parents when she was about 3, when her mum realised she was too homesick and the family returned to Holland. ... this part of England, we discovered an Otter Sanctuary. That’s right, MJ is a sucker for Otters! After struggling with the English concept of directions, we managed to find it and arrived in time to observe Feeding Time. It’s only a small concern, but well worth a visit. They do some great work rehabilitating injured otters and releasing them back into the wild.
