... it hasn't been turned into a proper tourist attraction... I guess that's what makes it so special. And with that, I head on back across town to continue on my way. 1413. Overkill Hike (Spa 089) Mairena de Alcor, December 26, 2012, Day 169 5 hrs, 10.0 kms Day Totals: 16 hrs, 23.0 kms Once I reach the main highway, I'm a little confused as to what to do. There's another town, Carmona, up a side road that I feel I need to visit to say I've thoroughly ...

Matthew was deploying to Spain, so I decided it was time for me to deploy as well.  A dependent (such as myself) can hitch a ride on almost any Air Force airplane through a program called Space A(vailable).  This was my first time traveling Space A and I think Spain was an excellent choice.  Matthew was my pilot and I had to resist the urge to take a thousand pictures of him ...

No buses to Carmona, so I go ahead and head back to Sevilla and call it a ...

... favorite castles to date. First of all it's free. Secondly, you can wander all over it undisturbed--up along the walls... in and out of various chambers... up to the top of the towers with a panoramic view of the entire region. I'm surprised that it hasn't been turned into a proper tourist attraction... I guess that's what makes it so special.

Africa bound! And sardines for the cat.

A short post since today got rained out. We decided to postpone our tour of other towns and braved the rain only to go to a supermarket. Leonardo got generous and offered up one of his cans of sardines for the campsite cat. She ate as much as she could out in the pouring rain, presumably leaving the remainder for later. Sadly for her the campsite dog sucked down both the remaining sardines and the can, which we never manged to locate. Fear not for the ...
