Acapulco and the corruption

... top complete with slices of lime and tajin (chilli and salt mix popular on and in drinks and food) it was like I'd turned the **** hole into the ritz! After a few hours of literally wetting ourselves with laughter and feeling slightly tipsy we managed to pass out until the morning without noticing the smell or the noise. The next part of our drive was going to take around 6 hours to Puerto Escondido so we left our hotel around 10am to find some breakfast. There was ...

... staying in! The beach, said to be one of the nicest in Mexico, definitely didn't rate that highly for us. Not only is there so much rubbish down where we were staying, but you can't relax without a hawker hassling you to buy the ****** souvenirs every minute. It gets old pretty quickly! Bugs Bunny was always trying to get there, but took a wrong turn in Tujunga, and ended up in Istanbul or Acaba. Where was I? Oh yeah...Acapulco used to be big time. Now, it's an over-priced, played-out scene, that ...

Sailing down the Mexico Coast

A travel blog entry by cazzah on Apr 18, 2014

Today we spent the day sailing down the coast of Mexico. From our map, we are off the coast of Acapulco. No port stops today as we are heading to Guatamala, which takes two nights and two days sailing to arrive. The waters are very calm and the sailing very smooth. We are both very relaxed and Johnny is enjoying the variety of foods on board.
