It's been around since the Neolithic age, some 10,000 years. A layer cake of time and surprise. We enjoy a stone-oven baked pizza watching the traffic and people. We took a cable car (kind of scary) to the top of the mountain where the town of Fira lies. Of course, the hike turned out to be much more difficult than anticipated: we hiked almost half of the island - about 7 miles - up and down rocky cliffs to the next town of Oia in the hot sun. But it was totally worth it. The panoramic views we had the entire way ...

Christopher finished his book, The Girl on The Train, and I finished mine as well, The Girl in The Spider’s Web- from the Stieg Larsson series, written by another gentleman with the same characters. I can recommend it without reservation. Absolutely in keeping with the “original”. I’m now reading Girl on the train – and liking it thus far. Trying to figure it ...
