Crete-the wine, the food, the hospitality and kitties! Crete is known for the cats-a pretty healthy bunch of semi-feral cats that are all over the island. ... lose their hearts in San Francisco, and some lose their asses in Vegas, but I lost my hat in Santorini!!

Our hotel in Oia, Atlantida Villas, also located on the rim and overlooking the caldera, was just beautiful. The scenery was beyond what I expected. I also read that the last eruption on Santorini was in 1950 so hopefully 3 days wouldn't change anything!!

... Chronologically, it spans 5500 years from Neolithic to Roman times. The setup was beautiful and I was buzzing around snapping pictures of everything.
