Leaving a beautiful city behind. Brugge. It was a lovely start to the tour. A bit of a miserable start to the day but at least it was cool. As we drove along the morrow au heading towards The Netherlands and Amsterdam, there are lot of single wind turbines at the edge of the road. There seems to be an awful lot of trucks compared to cars. Almost all of them are single trailers with the occasional B-double. Another interesting observation is that the cars all seem to be ...

We all tucked in and ...

... so I've never seen anything like it. The crowds of people walking by speaking smatterings of different languages, the way the buildings are laid out, the mix of old and new.

We boarded a tram into the city and found our way into the De Pijp neighborhood, where our AirBNB room awaited us. Our host wasn't at home right at the moment, so we entertained ourselves with a Heineken on a sunny bar patio and watched the colorful bike riders whooshing ...

... of weird trinkets. Pictures were allowed but I shouldn't include them here!

We caught the tram back towards Rijksmuseum and found a cafe in a courtyard where we drank heineken, ate some croquets and watched a local chess match unfold with heated discussions and the occasional bet. Another photobomb opportunity - photo included.

As we hadn't quite had our fill of people watching we ...
