... state owned rented very cheaply. So cheap is the rent that they cannot afford to do any maintenance. It's easy to spot these neglected apartments as we pass them. Wages are still very low. A newly qualified lawyer could earn the equivalent to 300 euro a month. There are too many university graduates and their income is often less than someone working at Mcdonalds. Yes they have Macdonalds Prague currently has a glut of ...

This made me feel much better about getting lost in these old towns. Its not my horrendous sense of direction, they are built to be confusing! After the tour I went up the tower at the town hall. Yes another tower, but like the last one this had an elevator. The view was spectacular. Prague is such a beautiful place. The only downside, ...

... a little store and ate them with the Aussies. I was so tired by this time but we still had 3 more hours of walking to do! I was glad we did though - the castle tour was amazing. We started at at the clock again and walked over Charles Bridge and learnt a bit about the statues along it. One of the statues is meant to bring you back to Prague if you rub it. On the other side of the bridge is the Lesser Quarter which is anything but now. It was where the servants for ...
