We have 'done' the Loire valley several times, but cannot remember visiting Tours. Although it is Sunday tomorrow, there is a bus into the city centre, so we have decided to go and have a look around. we are going to stay here for 2 nights and then make a dash for the Channel!

By the end of the afternoon we had become quite friendly with Lena and Tim. It was Tim's birthday, and Lena had bought some French pastries to surprise him with, so when we arrived back in Tours we joined them for coffee and the "birthday party". All in all, a very pleasant day indeed!
