    The Aire in St. Paul is being re-surfaced but note that apart from shop which closes at 19:30 there is nothing else in the village by way of facilities.


    We must have passed signs for 100 Chateau or Caves in our evening journey through the heart of the wine region. The neat rows of the vines are such a beautiful sight.

    We crossed over the Gironde and the Dordogne en-route the waters that are so essential to the Bordeaux heartbeat.

    ... colder Garrone which flows through Bordeaux. The result is dense fog in the mornings which produces a fungus on the grapes which in turn results in a unique taste. This is quite specific to this area and can't be found the same anywhere else in the world.

    ... and we thoroughly enjoyed walking around this ancient town that started in the 7th century. We were so intrigued that we decided to come back in at night to get some photos of the old church and other buildings lit up.
