On our own & farewell dinner

A travel blog entry by rerowand on Jul 26, 2015

Today we slept in late. There were no tours today, this is a day on our own. We went to a late breakfast and we were not the only ones! I talked with Charlotte & Wendie about the concert last night. It ended about twenty minutes after we had left and because it was the last one of the season, they had champagne and cake afterwards to celebrate. A break in the heatwave! It is finally over! It was raining a little when we woke and the forecast is in the 70s ...

... I came across another australian, Frank, out for a ride as I reconned part of the course heading south-east out of town - fairly flat and still able to ride the bike-paths heading out of town itself.

We have done some exploring around our immediate vicinity today, breakfast across the river, up to the MAXI for some grocery shopping, some sight-seeing around the river and some fruit and veg shopping at the markets up the ...

The four of us Laurier girls packed up our stuff late Thursday night and were ready to get a good sleep before leaving early Friday morning. Of course then we stayed up till after midnight and knew the day of travelling on Friday would now be a little bit more tiring. We caught the train out of Krems around 6am and headed for Vienna where we took a train directly from Vienna to Ljubljana, Slovenia. When we went to the train station in Vienna and asked for a return ticket ...
