Day 10: Today we set off for Wurzburg Germany. We were up and about early as we were leaving at 7:15am. The buffet breakfast at the Movenpick was delicious and then it was on to the bus for a fairly long days travel (about 6 hours). We passed through the border town of Arnhem until we reached Boppard, a quaint village on the Rhine Gorge. Along the way we noticed the countryside changing again with fairly thick forests and not as scenic as the previous day's . ...

We had a wonderful breakfast at our hotel - a choice of everything one could ask for - and a beautiful breakfast room too! We took a short drive to Wurzburg, parked in the Residenz (Prince-Bishop's Palace) cobblestone parking lot and began a walking tour of the city (via our guidebook). We made sure to get back to the Residenz in time for our English tour. It was spectacular! A treat for the eyes and great historical information. Don't call a Franconian a Bavarian! We finished ...

Then to the beer garden at the top of the town. We met a nice German couple. We then headed back into town for a slice of pizza!! There is no doubt about the weight gain!!! Heading to Prague tomorrow. I think I'm shin ...

... Basin toward the Rhine Gorge to a little village called Boppard. Boppard lies on the upper Middle Rhine, often known as the Rhine Gorge. A 17 km stretch of the Rhine forms the town’s eastern limit. Onto a river cruise along the Rhine River and from the boat you could view the many little villages, castles and lots and lots of vineyards - it is wine growing region after all. Also viewed the Lorely Rock, as well as the famous statue of Lorely, ...
