    ... us that the fireworks were on July 31 and Not August 1. As a result, we did not go to basel for the fireworks.

    But we are going today to stomp around one I our favourite Swiss cities. Let's see how we make out........okay - we arrived in Mannheim to make our connection on the ICE (Inter-City-Express) to Basel. Let's see if this driver can drive 'er over 300kph. I'll be watching.

    Good news was there was a shop right across the road where we could print our train tickets for the next day, and the guy was kind enough to let us use his phone. 30 minutes later they still hadn’t shown up to let us in, and the cleaning lady also lent us her phone to call. She had by this stage let us into the foyer as it was raining.
