come from. at least here most of the time you can trust the oncoming cars to
stay put behind each other and not overtake just whenever they feel like
Onwards passed the town of Seefeld and its great twisty roads for mile
after mile. I pass through the little railway town with the loco preserved in
the street to which I forget its name and simply continue onwards until I get
fed up and want a hotel.

... so intricate and were hidden in some of the designs in the rooms. These rooms were very detailed- in the King's bedroom, some of the woodworking alone took 3 years to finish just in that room! It was a short tour, but we were able to spend as much time as we liked outside and in the shops, which was in an unfinished part of the castle. It was all so interesting to be able to see both the finished and unfinished part of the castle! I liked that we were able to see both ...
... the entrance to the castle. What time is it? Oh, it is 3pm and we haven't been inside the castle yet!! We wandered around the castle and the castle grounds, amazing place!!! Well worth the taxi, 4 trains and 3 buses, or whatever it was, to get there. So time to reverse it all and get home :D and reverse it we did!! Got back to our hotel a little after 9pm, ordered a bottle of champagne and a pizza from the room service menu and chatted about the day. Awesome day! We love ...
... go on a precisely 25-minute guided tour, only a few rooms are available to view, and you must have a pre-arranged appointment (and if you are late, you are **** out of luck)...all for the princely fee of $30 USD per person.
And to that we said: oh hells no. The beauty of the castle is seeing it from the outside, flanked by the Alps. The beauty is not, in fact, in paying $30 USD to have a tour guide drive me like a cart ...

Then Jon surprised the group with a wonderful dinner at the Gasthof Zur Post in Wallgau, a beautiful restaurant that Elizabeth Taylor and Ric*********** visited, and where Jon and one of his ski-buddies had eaten over 40 years ago...it was just as good last night as long ago...maybe better.
