... unacknowledged hero who employed blind and deaf Jews in his workshop and protected them by arranging identity cards, when they were the most vulnerable to being sent to death camps. His workshop was lost in the disrepair of post war and only discovered by young squatters who found it when looking for housing. Outside the hotel at the Brandenburg gate, we took some goofy pictures with Maya.  We had a laugh! So that's all for now.  I will be very sorry to see Maya go in a day.  She has been a delight and a treasure to travel with this past week and we look forward to our next trip together.  We are hoping that Emma will join us too next ...
