    ... to arrive. It was delayed however, so we managed to get to the platform, naturally it was the farthest one, well before boarding. The train ride was just under 5 hours long and we sat with an American mother and daughter, and two Dutch guys.     ... had been a bird strike in one of the engines so we sat for an hour waiting..took off and we all had free snacks and drinks before landing in Berlin.Very hot 30+ .Tourist info set us up well 5 euro to reach hotel via bus then underground. Hot by the time we arrived so into the shower and rested while sorting maps etc.5 ish walked a couple of k to the site of the wall..much development here and not much survived WW2 around here River close by and lovely ...

    This bloke's apartment was superb. it certainly gave the appearance of being big and it had to great feel to it as it was on the top floor. Hence the plants growing. Some of the herbs that went in our pasta.



    They seem to do more with their apartments over here than we do in Australia with houses.
