        While enjoying breakfast on our deck, lounging in the hot tub as we soaked in the views of the caldera, and making final plans for Paris, oh and planning our retirement home (YES! so ready to spend the rest of our lives on the water and blow off this thing they call work!), we finally made up our minds to spend our last hours in heaven on a boat.         ... are now half way through our extensive trip. Two hundred minutes on the ships satellite internet, even with using freebies whilst in port. Every enterprising cafe, restaurant and bar offers free wi-fi if they are near the cruise terminal. The crew do not get any deals on satellite connection time, so they head ashore at every opportunity to contact their families at home.         ... we decided we would tackle it anyway, especially after all the food we'd been eating since boarding the cruise. We took a cable car (kind of scary) to the top of the mountain where the town of Fira lies. Of course, the hike turned out to be much more difficult than anticipated: we hiked almost half of the island - about 7 miles - up and down rocky cliffs to the next town of Oia in the hot sun.
