... large number of sarees. I mean I had never seen that many sarees, that many clothes lying at one place.

Once I got sarees for awfully cheap price, we went home. Then I rested there for sometime, before going to the bus stand to catch my bus to Udaipur.

About Surat, I must say this. If anyone is planning to by sarees for ceremonies like weddings, Surat is the place to be. The length and breadth of the textile market there is as big as a small town....

Spent a very short time in Vanesa, which is where Hirals dad is from. Since they are building a new house there...we were sent to do some interior decorating. This task actually made us excited to build our own home...but I'm not sure exactly when that's going to happen. Otherwise just a really quiet gam (gujurati for village) with not a whole lot going on but were able to see Hirals extended ...

... caves. Stunning stunning stunning. The caves here date from 200BC and were rediscovered by a British tiger hunting party in 1819. The artwork in some of the caves is incredible. I wandered around the site for hours and hopefully the photos will show how truly spectacular both locations are. I'm sure a Google search will provide much more detail if you'd like to know more. As for you Mr Evans, a museum has recently opened ...
