... tubing twice, Zip-lining, touring a chocolate factory (more a big house really), visiting waterfalls and a butterfly sanctuary. The combined cost of all these things over two days was about $55. The zip-lining consisted of 10 lines back and forth across a valley. The lines were up to 400m in length. I'm sure it was pretty safe... On the last line I got to go upside down. ... We spent the rest of the evening talking with our newly found friends, and gracious hosts enjoying one another’s company. I got sunburned pretty badly and Geovy doctored me up with this pink caladryl lotion (you put globs of it on your face and then it hardens and cracks… very weird). And so it was that on our first night in this city I ...
Each meal in Ecuador is a 3 course meal in itself! Yet you're still only paying $2-$4 per meal.. A backpackers dream location! Which brings me to my next thought.. There aren't many tourists here, which is amazing! You can walk for hours and see no westerners around. English isn't very widely spoken in Ecuador, which is maybe part of the reason. But for someone like me looking to improve my spanish while ...
