... so no pics will do it justice (I took video though). So instead of a snow pic, I have attached a special photo I took today at the zoo.
Then after that excitement I got the funicular up to the fortress and my battery died after 3 photos so they are not very good but it was worth it to get a video of the Pumas.
Now am hoping for some sun tomorrow which is my last day in Salzburg. I wanna see those magnificent mountains.
... the adjacent train station was strangely large for a town of this size? It was, and he explained that it was enlarged, for show, as this was where Hitler and his cronies disembarked in order to get to the 'Eagle's Nest'. If I ever get back here in finer weather, that will be on the cards - as well as featuring largely in modern history, its high mountain location commands stunning views of the local scenery... but not in a pea souper like ...

Although no snow, I'm almost as excited about the prospect of seeing some sun tomorrow, as I have not seen one bit of sun since I left Sydney. The last tiny patch of blue sky I saw poking through clouds was in London, but haven't seen the orb since I left home. I'm doing the touristy places tomorrow so hopefully I will have some amazing views ahead of me.

... to walk to every church/landmark (such as Mozarts Birth-House) on the map today to ensure we saw the whole city (every landmark on the side of the river with the castle). The only two things we saved for tomorrow were entering into the castle, and exploring the other side of the river.
