    We started out early today- needed to catch the 8am train to Cologne. The train was a nice ride. Took us 2.5 hours. The beautiful and enormous Cathedral was near the train station.     Found unbelievable bargain at a 5* Hotel. & couldn't resist. To put it into context the breakfast cost 50% of the room rate! We didn't have breakfast! Even better, parking was also extra but as GG was too tall for their underground car park, we had to park with the smart cars in front of the Hotel at no charge. Hilarious!

    ... panic wasn't necessary after all. The next train was late 30 min late (quite unusual for Deutsche Bahn) so no problems. Once we reached Heidelberg, I checked my dwindling resources and decided to walk home. This time I had no problems at all. Strange to get lost in Bonn, and walk straight home in Heidelberg.
