    ... by looking in some stores on the main strip. After today I actually like Nice. I like the old part more than where we are staying but I wouldn't live here.

    After dinner we went to the beach and had some wine. It was very hollywood but in a good way.

    ... all day easily. We walked past casinos and ritzy hotels before deciding on a place to eat. Food was good but sizes were huge. Not sure how we fit it all in, but needed the hour walk back to the hotel to digest. Close to midnight, the promenade was still packed full of people including families with small kids. Got the feeling that Nice was just starting to get its party on, but it was way past our bedtime so we retreated to the hotel for some ...

    ... was ok (jk), there was lightening in the distance as well as fireworks... So it was pretty perfect! We asked what the occasion was for the fireworks and were told that it was probably a private display on one of the properties by the below... As you do on the Cote D'Azur! Oh and Matt ate a sugar cube at the end because he thought it was a tiny biscuit. Eze was a lovely change of pace from Nice and an amazing place to visit! Next on to Monaco, another 20min taxi down the coast :) A&M ...

    ... a quick swim in the Med on arrival at the hotel, before heading out for our final pizza and pasta dinner, as today is our last day in Italy before heading into France tomorrow.

    We have spent a month here and have covered quite a bit of ground - certainly ticking off all the highlights on the tourist list, but also having some great relaxing family time at the villa and on our non tourist days.
