Today we headed out early in search of breakfast and were surprised to find nothing open at 7am. What sort of a city is this?? They obviously start late in Nice. After a brief stroll and contemplation of McDonalds we found a place opening which offered a set menu breakfast for a good price. Looked like a cafe by day and a bar by night. Breakfast was good with a ham and cheese omelette, freshly squeezed OJ, white coffee and a croissant for approx $10. ...

Hello from Nice, France! This is just a short entry because we won't have internet at the place we are staying at next and I didn't want to forget about what we saw in the French Riviera!

This is a beautiful part of the world, down in the south of France bordering the Mediterranean (I think. Again - geography not a strong point. I hope I never have to teach Geography in my life). Gorgeous blue water, stunning views, sunshine (not all of the time, ...

... a quick swim in the Med on arrival at the hotel, before heading out for our final pizza and pasta dinner, as today is our last day in Italy before heading into France tomorrow.

... if you want some sun. A little bit of everything for everyone. We are glad that we are here so early in the summer; I can only imagine how busy this place would be in August!!

Tomorrow we head for Monaco early in the morning for the Grand Prix. We are both really excited but of course Rich is a little bit more! It will be quite an exciting and long day so we are going to be getting to bed now.

Wishing everyone could be here with us,

    Christina and Richard
