... Push hard, brake hard, look for cars, go wide, go again, ignore the drop off, zoom through villages occasionally looking at the breathtaking view. Nearly everyone wanted to do it again, some even if they could climb it again. Thursdays climb took us through green, waterfall decorated ravines, tunnels, coffee at the base of a massif, a climb up the massif and, for David & myself, a chance to visit the castle at Gourdon. We could look back down over 1000m at the speck of ...

The best I could come up with using the wrong pronunciation of Nice, "A Trice in Nice" - so I give up, there is no pun to be had here sorry. I slept well. It had seeds though which I was not expecting. Cool experience but it makes me sad that I'll never like wine. Got to talk to that hypnotist about that. Headed to Avignon now for lunch then to Nice! So excited about the South of France. Leaving Avignon now. It's so pretty here. They have giant city walls that ...

... we had to board our next train without a ticket. No problem. We were able to book on the train with the conductor. We arrived at San Remo around 3pm and it was a lovely sunny day. The beaches are much nicer over this side of Italy and they have sand as ...

Walked along the Promenade to the Port. Di and I did the hop on/hop off bus tour. Some interesting Nice facts: • birthplace of Garibaldi • Russian influence • to prevent the river breaking banks and causing flooding, the river was covered • Matisse Museum here; believed that he truly captured the colours ...
