46 kms.... AM - Another wonderful breakfast choice in our 4**** hotel, what else! The rain had gone, as predicted, and the sky was clear and sunny as we headed out of Brno. Left town through a seedy looking suburban area, I guess most cities have these areas. We followed a cycle track, sealed, along a small creek which we rode for kilometres until we reached a beautiful forest area, that clean, alpine ...

40 Kms.... AM - We had the morning to look around Mikulov, which was a quaint little village. Had a look at the village square then the castle on the hill (no princess's in there today Adele)! Took a guided tour of the castle with English language headphones, the whole complex was set on fire by the Germans as they left at the end of WW2 so the interior has been redone but is not genuine. ... br> On every square there is a church but it is a fact that the Czech population is not religious, they are however spiritual!. It turns out that the Czech people lost all interest in religion when it became a political ploy by those in power to manipulate the people. So why are there so many churches? Don't know and probably won't find out until we learn some Czenglish. Probably won't happen this ...

Last the last two weeks have passed quickly and we are now getting ready for our field trip to Vienna and Venice. Afterwards, they will give us a weeks spring break and I get to travel around Italy for a week with three great women that I consider good friends now. Can't wait for that adventure to begin. The weekend of April 1 saw a group of 7 of us travel to Brno for the weekend. Brno is the third largest city in the Czech Republic and is about an hour and half hour ...
