... It's has been a good group to travel with. 8 Australians, about 7 Canadians , 2 Malaysians and the rest from different areas of the US. Quite a few adult family groups travelling together. Everyone makes an effort to be on time which is great. The only annoying person is a fellow australian with a loud voice who thinks it funny to treat his Asian wife badly. ... one off bathroom. We had fresh snow on the surrounding mountains overnight from a storm. After a nice brekkie we did a walk parallel with the river on Via Milano to a little town called Premadio. My backpack is falling apart... and I'm not sure if I'm ready to have many more nights like I did last night with the slugs. From Morbegno it's actually a quick train ride down to Milan where I could find a cheap hostel, get cleaned up, get some proper gear and psyche myself up for the next leg of my big trip... ...

Day 238 2 hrs, 6 kms Next the valley narrows into a short gorge and then widens again. I'm approaching Morbeegno, the largest city of the the Valtellina Valley. Here there's a bit of sprawl and much of the industry of the valley is concentrated here. But first there's another town, Talamona, with a clear separate identity, with a nice gothic ...
