      ... olives, homemade chilli crostini, bruschetta served on thin crisp garlic oiled rounds of roll, and small thin rectangles of parmigiana reggiano, drizzled with thick balsamic and eaten with toothpicks. We had to have the second negroni just to polish off all the nibbles! Then we didn't need dinner, so just had a nice glass of Nero D'Avola to finish (us) off!       ... was pretty trashy but had comfy beds and then we headed off to get some dinner and see some sights. I can now say I have seen and thrown a coin into Trevi fountain but unfortunately it just didn't have the same plop as we had hoped, more of a tinktinkting as it hit the cement bowl of the empty pool!       We knew this day was coming but it came too soon.... Time to farewell a thousand people in one foul swoop! We had it all planned, starting at 12 and hopefully finishing at 6 so we could finish packing and cleaning before heading to rome tomorrow for a day before saying goodbye for a while to this amazing continent. On the way home we stopped to get the kids gelato and then headed over to a little restaurant we found down the road called trattoria tipica - it had a lovely atmosphere but I was a little worried when I saw cavello on the menu, we had a laugh but didn't tell the kids then I went on to ordered the mixed meat platter and then realised it might come with horse!!!
