A day of cold and hot
... of the B&B are away to Spain on holiday!!!!!It begs the question, why don't they take the "B&B open" signs down!! A total waste of my time and I’m sure many other tourists also!!
Finally after a drive around the town I finally find a wonderful hotel and check-in.
Once checked-in and the bike safely parked in the garage below it was out into the town to explore this historic town before the sun went down.

Back to civilization
... car, which we were grateful for. We headed up to the castle, which overlooked the hole Modonie mountains. They say that on a clear day you can see Etna. This wasn't quote a clear day, but the view was still mesmerizing. We walked down the stairs and out to a viewing area, and took in the sweeping views. From there, we walked through the rest of the town, viewing the churches which had very Greek overtones. Beautifully ornate. ...
Otzi the Iceman
... The ice has done a good job of preserving items that are more than 5 millenia old. Plenty of research has been done on him - his last meal is known, cause of death is from a heavily bleeding shoulder wound that lead to hypovolaemic shock and he was already plagued with health problems including arthritis and arteriosclerosis. But who attacked him, why, and what was he doing way up in the mountain? Hmmm.
