One of the things I always wanted to do was to visit the Northeast of Brazil. Every Brazilian knows that this region is probably one of the poorest regions of the country but also one of the prettiest, full of natural beauty, like sand dunes and huge natural lakes. When I arrived in Natal, on route to Macau (RN), it was love at first sight; beautiful sandy beaches, friendly people and wonderful food, it was my ...

... the Netherlands lose to Argentina and then we watched an episode of Sherlock.

Thursday was the day of my flight and I was feeling fine, a little teary, before I went to the gym to work out for the last time. I bought them some sweet treats for breakfast. ... our house. Ended up being a truck and some overhang tents and their specialty was sandwiches. These sandwiches, I hate to say it, were even better than our original sandwich shop and the best part, it was right across the street from our house. Oh and they cost $5.00 US! They brought us 6 different kinds of condiments, one being the herbed mayo that was addicting. I wish we had discovered this place when everyone else was here. We now officially became regulars at this place as ...

... that was going to decide who goes through, Italy or Uruguay. They would have to have a miracle game to go through. If you read some of my earlier posts, you can probably assume who I was routing for. Timi and I were going to see Diego Forlan in person! We were all for Uruguay (mostly for our man, Diego, but seeing Italy loose a second time, would be a bonus!). We got to the stadium in plenty of time, and this time Uruguay fans seemed to be the most dominant ...
