... make some people squeamish. Dishes may include blood sausage, donkey snout, chitterlings or tripe. I know reading those words on a computer screen doesn't sound very appealing. I personally tried the local chitterlings which was mixed into mashed potato. I also sampled some other items, which I am not entirely sure what type of meat was used and it is probably better that way. The food was different but tasty. For all the foodies out there Lyon is worth a visit. ...

... invigorated we want to check the David queue once more, just in case...YES! Much reduced, so we join queue, which feels like a torture for the tourists. Blazing sunshine..the sweat just drips off you & can't believe nobody faints! However after 45 mins we're in. Well worth returning too. To think David is 500 yrs old is astonishing...he is also so HUGE!

back to the farmhouse around 8 pm...lie-in tomorrow methinks...

... the piazza in front of the massive Cathedral with its ornate facade. A gentleman in the town hall across from it struck up a conversation with us and said it took 12 generations of builders to complete the structure. The town had a nice semi urban vibe to it and I noticed it is on the main train line between Florence and Rome. Easy to revisit without a car. :-)
