... Not only did I got to spent It with three of my favourite people, we also had Roith -who we nicknamed James Dean- who was an indispensable addition to the whole weekend and who I’m really happy to have met.

So yes, life in Perugia is still pretty fun. Too much pizza and gelato, wandering around Perugia, dinner parties, great people and lovely Italian life. It all turned out better than I ever thought it would.

The last part of our weekend excursion was our stop in Assisi. We started our Sunday with a Mass led by our American seminarians in one of the many chapels of the Basilica of St. Francis. ... to mention all of the stores all around. Unlike Rome, Perugia felt less touristy which was a nice change from our everyday life. Our dinner was delicious, and we went back early to get ready for Saturday, which was packed with fun activities the entire day!

... apologised for the decor but said their friend had recommended the food, and oh was he correct! I had a small serve of gnocchetti (small gnocchi) with sugo di carne, it was great :). I then had roast pork which which was flavoured with rosemary and very juicy.
