Garry has seen me on my first day on the slopes, when I sucked at snowboarding. He has seen me gently improve over the years such as I sucked slightly less at snowboarding. He's a very supportive and empathetic character and gives wonderful feeling praise when he sees you doing good. I could not wait to show off Don the freestyler’s new skills. I found them; we got drunk and had a great night. Drinks at the hotel. Fancy dress. ...

... dubious pleasure of regurgitating the hot chocolate and rum in front of my classmates. It’s actually quite uplifting to have that many people splitting their sides belly laughing, you can’t feel sick for long and have to join in.

Regardless of whether it was the chocolate or the rum, I was happy to stick to water for the remainder of the day and night. As such my photographic evidence is of slightly better composition. ...

... a snowball on the back of your hand - to do this you won a beer, I won a beer, but I had it revoked since I had stood Julian up the night before: I’d expected I could convince my buddies to head to Bad Gastein for old times sake but we got distracted with Bad Hofgastein’s offerings.

The après ski was at umbrella. The chap who offered to look after my wig was still wearing it, good lad, I asked him to continue to ...
