    ... to the meandering streets of the old town. Shops and cafes have been fun and restaurants provided meals of cassoulet, "mixed grill", nice fish, lamb shank, smoked herring salad. Salads either as a meal or main course are the norm. We also enjoyed Aligot [creamed potato and cheese]; the food has generally been good to very good but not sensational.     Castres Town still in Languedoc. Aire by park 1KM from town centre. Plenty of shared parking space but noisy at night. No services at all. Having motored the short distance to the base of The Pyrenees we find ourselves legging it back in land first thing this morning.
