It is our last morning in Beautiful Bellagio and we wake up to rain which turns into thunder, lightning and then buckets of rain so all last morning activities are suspended. Luckily it all clears as we depart the hotel and catch the ferry to Varenna and then a train to Milan where we change trains for our destination Camogli which is at the north of Cinque Terre.

Luckily we had scouted the train station previously and were aware that the unmanned station has no ticket facilities ...

Benji purchased a snorkel set and impressed the German van next to us as he strutted out flippers and all. They slowly began an England chant with a slow clap as he progressed to the rocks. Afterwards, we needed approximately 1,5h to get out of Genova as we lost the correct road. Then we past a ...

The day started with entering Italy ... and what a difference with France ... We can still see the sun shining on the sea, there are still beautiful mountains and fields, we are still driving on 2 perfect motorbikes but ... the drivers in Italy are crazy! We have seen at least 7 ambulances and I am not surprised. There are always 2 roads, one in each direction, but between the cars, on the white line, are driving the vespas and motorbikes, in every direction! Crazy! They are driving ...

... slow passage down the Canale de San Marco, passing St Marks Square we arrive at our cruise terminal. Venice is sited on a group of 118 islands separated by canals and linked by bridges. Steve and I enjoy an afternoon wandering around this ancient city before heading back for our last night on board and last supper! Tomorrow we must be of the ship by 9am so all our luggage is to be left out the night before so our porter can take it ashore. Troubled sleep worrying about whether we ...
