Day 48 - Transfer from Venice to Genoa to board MSC Splendida.
This morning we were up early thanks to our neighbours not sleeping. We went to buffet breakfast and struggled with the crowd to find a seat. We sat with 2 American couples from Pennsylvania. We had a wonderful breakfast chatting with them. We then headed to the meeting place to disembark. Toby had a coffee and I tried to Skype with Jye. When we disembarked we went to ...

We caught the train to Rapallo about 20 mins from where we are staying. Lee and I had previously stayed here with my brother and his family and enjoyed it very much. You can catch a boat from here to three beautiful spots on the Tigullian Gulf. I figured we just had to go in the other entrance, so we got ...

... line!. The entertainment team, including Emma's dance teachers were Brazilian and had great energy and personality and boy can they dance. We had 3 sea days in this cruise when we are not in port. We love sea days as they are relaxing but there is plenty to do if you want.It is like being in 5 star resort. We were impressed by the service and entertainment with MSC. We departed Genoa at 5pm and it was great to have the feeling of being on the open seas ...

... enjoyable evening that continues on after dinner until it's time for Tom Jones! What do I think of the show? Mmmmm interesting! Don't ask any further! An interesting statistic has arisen from the stats provided in the daily newsletter delivered to our cabin. "The average P&O cruise passenger will put on between 7 and 14 pound in the duration of a cruise" OK I am average! But trying hard not to be "above average". Today starts early as we pull back the curtains to watch as our ...
