... I had seen the last of the Alps but for sure
that is not the case. What I have just come through was pretty much green grass
covered mountains but looking ahead towards Innsbruck the towering dolomite
peaks just look totally amazing. I really never thought there was much to see
around this area but it just goes to show you don't know until you go see.
I stopped at one town and stood there for about 20 minutes or so just

... building process for 14 years. The outside was completely finished, however only about 80% of the inside was completed. When the King died, the construction stopped, plus this was a very expensive castle to start with.

The train was almost empty so we spread out and made ourselves comfortable for the 3.5 hour ride. ...

A travel blog entry by jlmcclure on Oct 27, 2014

Up and about at 7am and after some brekky we took a taxi to Hauptbahnhof (Central Station), where we started our tour to King Ludwig's castle. It is believed this castle is the idea behind Walt Disney's Snow White castle. The castle is quite a way out of Munich so off we go. First onto a train with our guide and our 7 other tour people, all English speaking, good start! We were on the first train for about 15 mins and then we were all ushered off and onto another train for about ...

... to vote for the larger dock. Those of you who have been married for more than two years will understand when I tell you that Gary and I were "outvoted 2 to 2". So we boarded the boat the ladies chose and as it pulled away found that it was headed on a tour of all of the islands in the lake, and a few other stops at various points around the shore, the result being that we returned to our car a few hours later. It turned out to be a very ...
