The glory of Bavaria.

... this in an effort to make extra dollars with extra tours. Last time I visited it was in the school term period and the weather was cold and generally miserable. But, in saying that I had a better general experience and filled in the gaps for Cal from what I could remember about the place. The castles are genuinely brilliant and serve well as a museum considering all the furniture is authentic and the place was left 'as is'. It's truly like being in a fairy tale and would wait in ...

Didn't know much about them, but there are two very close together, and they were the summer and hunting residences of the Bavarian royal family. The first one was built in early eighteen hundreds, and the second by the son Ludwig. But he was ...

It was another early day for us all. Wake - up was at 5:30am and we loaded the bus by 7am for our drive south to the Alps. Our first stop was Neuschwanstein castle. Built in the 1800s, it was the last of many castles built by King Ludwig II of Baveria. This particular castle was never completed due to his mysterious and unexpected death at the age of 40. We hiked to the top of the Alp, which was a very steep hike at that. The ...
