... in Italy! We did manage to find a smaller slope but there was no snow as it was lower down the mountain. We headed back to the other ski slope in town and went up that. There was a beginner slope there but also another mountain coaster like we went on in Germany. Obviously we went on that one too. There were awesome views over the side of the mountain and then you got to race the skiers at the bottom as you went along side the slope.

for a long time. It was covered in leaves with a few stones off the side of the
cliff mixed in with them. I could see a few tyre marks here and there but other
than that it did not look used at all.
Onwards I head up this rather slippery road taking in the great scenery as
I go. Finally there is a cable car station which takes passengers up to the top
of Austria and just after ...

and took a few shots.
Onwards up this pass there are old lookout points and castles with cannons
set at them etc. These must have been in place to protect the border from Italy
or vise versa.
By late afternoon the weather had changed for the better and the sun was
shining. The temp fell as low as 8 today but was now way up at 15 Celsius once
again so was just great.

... the future. Our hotel in Zagreb was a 5 minute walk from the train station and again a lovely hotel that was reasonably priced. We headed downtown for dinner and on the way back discovered a movie theatre. It was exciting for us to learn that most of the movies are in English with Croatian subtitles. ... little orphans whose sister had left them on the train! I mean, Tanya is now a senior citizen, even though her older sister is 6 years older, that didn't matter! The older sister has more chance of dementia so Tanya should have made sure the baby sister and the demented sister were accounted for........I blame Tanya....there was no excuse for such dereliction of duty!
