Hirschbach has been the home town of the Freudenthalers for 4 generations. The family Bakerie and Gasthaus still operates in the town's centre and is run by the 4th Bakrmeister Wolfgang Freudenthaler.

Woke 7:15am. Thick fog. Temperature 24. After breakfast had a small church service by Baptist Minister Graham Goninon who is doing the cruise. For those in Canberra he knows the Stafferton's as he is from Tassie. Relaxed on board this morning as we sailed towards Bamberg. By midday the fog had burt off. Each morning, we would have breakfast in the hotel/pension. Very good. Fresh fruit. Bread. We normally would grab an apple and/or orange to have with us to snack on during the day. We slept in and didn't start breakfast until 8am, then we headed into Rothenberg to explore the city by 9am. We got there before the tour busses started to arrive.
