... Versailles, once more as an homage to Louis XIV. The fountains in front are beautiful leading away to a viewpoint from the terrace. After our picnic lunch we go round a museum about Ludwig's life, where we are actually able to take photos. Here is his death mask, various items of furniture and wall hangings that were rejected by Ludwig or never used, and plans for what the building would have ...

The others had a great time at Hitlers eagle nest at the top of the alps and they slid down a long slide like thing in the salt mines. We headed out of Salzburg for Fussin in the alps to see Neusweinstein castle where Disney copied the castle for Disneyland. Found a wonderful hotel, nearby and had dinner ...

... be the best meal or one we would soon forget. I bet you can guess by now that this was the best meal I've had in Europe when price is considered. Only 8 euro for a top notch Italian dish. Just as good as my Gordon Ramsay meal that was quadruple the price. The house wine was also very reasonably priced so I had a glass for 3 euro. Little did I know this would be a full quartino sized glass. It was easily two glasses of wine for the price of one. I had heard from a traveler that ...
