      ... in Salzburg had an open roof in certain areas, so at times the snow was actually falling inside the building! We hailed a cab (note: some cabs don't like 4 people with 4 bags) and drove to our hotel, all the while being amazed at what was going on.

      Today we went into Salzburg city to have a look around the old town and all the cool Austrian buildings. It was still snowing but not as badly and we managed to avoid any more traffic jams. Our host in the hotel gave us a map and told us the best places to go so we easily found some parking and set off walking into the town.
