... I stood and watched...yet another of the most incredible thunderstorms (see Six Months to Live, Pangkor Island, White Heat White Light) we have ever seen. This one was totally different. ... today. Straight into Austria (the border was a handful of miles from Fussen) we discovered a stunning country neither of us ever thought we'd visit. I remember seeing it from 30000ft flying to Greece many years ago and it had the wow factor then. Nothing has changed. It's incredible. ... so many times from high speed through tunnels that I craved some decent ear buds for a good old ear drum scratch.
Oh, and the most ironic thing was that upon disembarking in Munch we noticed the train had it's own bike carriage.

With our successors learning the ropes alongside us we will have time for some adventures of our own before we return to the UK The main event will be Romania in August hopefully-as far as the Black Sea.
