Beautiful walled village in Franconia. We drove through stunning scenery and arrived to glorious sunshine. We walked the perimeter wall and the charming cobbled streets of this picturesque hamlet. Spent the evening sampling regional wursts and beer. We chatted long into the evening with a delightful German couple, who Brenton may have invited to Adelaide for a holiday! This village was certainly one of the highlights of our trip so ...

Didn't get to see Wurzburg much but went straight on a tour to Rothenburg in the Tauber Valley about an hours drive away and one of the most picturesque villages in Germany and certainly one of the most famous. Its completely surrounded by a wall and is full of charm (but to me ...

... The river was really neat to see, as were the houses. The view up from the valley floor was incredible as well. This was a quick little part of our day, but worth mentioning!

The other thing I forgot was the scariest part of our trip. That's only because I'm terrified of heights, Jonathan was fine. We climbed the tower of the town hall building to get the view at the top. I guess I didn't really know what we were getting ourselves into, but maybe the fact that only ...
