Munsters and the War

... and I was really interested Ursulas was Jewish and her grandma was hidden in the war and she told me the story about it, I was really fasinated but it also upset me I can not begin to think what people must have gone through and it was really nice to hear it from a different side as well.

We ended up a little drunk and eating kebabs again. Must have had a nice night as we did not get back until half past 1.

One big ass cathedral

... and see the view. The spire was in the centre of the platform and it wasn't until we had walked around 3/4 of it that I noticed the stairs up the spire. So we climbed the narrow, winding steps to the very, very top. It was quite windy up there but wow what a spectacular view!

A platform about half way up contains windows below to the bells for your viewing pleasure. In this room there are also pictures of other cathedrals around the ...

MOVING DAY, SMALL TOWNS AND CAVES

... they are just closing for the night. We begin our walk back and it is enjoyable, we chat and laugh about the different things we have seen and done.

We pass the neighbours and they have just finished diner. We ask how it was and the man says very good and would we like some, it would just take him awhile to cook us up some. We thank him and said we had just eaten. We talk and he invites us to sit. He brings us a beer, from a local small ...

Finishing up

... hot and then all the sudden thunderstorms and cold again.

There was a lot going on at school and saying goodbye to the kids and the colleagues was not easy at all!

Spending some time at the lake, had my friend visiting for a weekend, enjoyed some parties and got excited about my new car finally arriving....

a day in Ulm

... we left the house for Ulm and made it there in about
an hour. Once there we had to park across town in a parking deck for
the day, which wasn't bad because Stephen and I wanted to walk
anyway. We then walked across town and walked across the bridge over
the famous Danube river and went straight to the Ulm minster (tallest
church in the world). Once inside the massive church we began our
climb to the top of the 786 steps. There were ...

The autobahn isn't as quick as it seems

... his irish licence had been forged (well it did have a dodgy photo that the irish licencing department glued onto it!). Johnno went down to help them out by bringing them their passport...but that wasn't good enuf...so Eric and Matt had to take yet another car to pick all the other people and cars up! Next it would have been me on the bicycle riding down to lake constance! But meanwhile I was left at this fantastic pool. Europe has relaxing spas, novel ...

Neuschawnstein & Ulm, Germany; Rudesheim & Rhine

... some eggs, bacon, and sausage. Have to admit that I do miss it. The skies started to clear up and we headed to the old section of Ulm. Ulm is a city of 130,000 so I don’t think we will see everything. We did find out that 85% of Ulm was bombed during the war, but from what we have seen so far, you would never realize it. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel, right along the Danube.

As we wound our way through the old streets, we ended up at ...
